We are looking for an experienced Modern Workplace Architect to lead the architecture, design, governance, and evolution of enterprise workplace solutions. This role focuses on Microsoft 365, collaboration technologies, endpoint and device management, Windows and Linux environments, identity, security, automation, and Digital Employee Experience. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical architecture expertise with transformation strategy, stakeholder engagement, solution consulting, and technical leadership capabilities. The position aims to design secure, scalable, and modern workplace environments that enhance productivity, user experience, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Design end-to-end Modern Workplace architectures across collaboration, endpoint management, identity, security, and Digital Employee Experience.
Define target-state architectures, transformation roadmaps, transition plans, reference architectures, and technical standards.
Lead architecture and solution design for workplace modernization and migration initiatives.
Architect Microsoft 365 solutions covering Teams, Exchange Online, Exchange Server, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive.
Define collaboration, communication, and productivity strategies across Microsoft 365 environments.
Design endpoint-management solutions covering Windows 11, Red Hat Linux, and dual-boot Windows/Linux environments.
Define device-management strategies using Ivanti Unified Endpoint Management, Group Policy, Microsoft Entra ID, and related technologies.
Design approaches for device provisioning, configuration, patching, security, compliance, and lifecycle management.
Ensure workplace architectures align with Zero Trust, identity and access management, data protection, compliance, and endpoint-security principles.
Design identity and access solutions using Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, and Identity Protection.
Incorporate Microsoft Defender and endpoint-security controls into Modern Workplace architecture.
Define architecture approaches for integrating workplace technologies with Service Desk, End User Support, and field-support functions.
Conduct technical discovery and architecture workshops.
Assess existing workplace environments and develop modernization strategies and roadmaps.
Translate business requirements into scalable technical architectures and solution recommendations.
Present architecture options, technical risks, recommendations, and transformation strategies to senior stakeholders.
Support RFPs, RFIs, technical proposals, solution designs, and sizing activities.
Drive adoption of AI-enabled productivity, Microsoft Copilot, automation, proactive remediation, Device Intelligence, and Digital Employee Experience solutions.
Establish architecture governance, standards, reusable patterns, and design principles.
Provide architectural guidance and technical leadership throughout design, implementation, migration, and transition activities.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.
8+ years of relevant experience across Modern Workplace, Digital Workplace, Microsoft 365, End User Computing, endpoint management, or related technology areas.
Proven experience working in a Modern Workplace Architect, Digital Workplace Architect, EUC Architect, Solution Architect, or similar role.
Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale workplace transformation solutions.
Strong experience working with technical teams, security teams, infrastructure teams, business stakeholders, and senior leadership.
Strong communication, presentation, stakeholder-management, solution-consulting, and technical-leadership skills.

Nice to Have

TOGAF or other enterprise architecture certification.
Relevant Microsoft 365, Azure, Security, Identity, or Modern Workplace certifications.
Experience with large-scale Microsoft 365 transformation or migration programs.
Experience with AI-enabled workplace solutions and Microsoft Copilot.
Experience with Digital Employee Experience technologies.
Experience with device intelligence, workplace analytics, and proactive remediation.
Experience developing business cases and technology transformation roadmaps.
Experience supporting RFPs, RFIs, technical proposals, and solutioning activities.
Experience working across hybrid cloud and on-premises workplace environments.
