About the role
We are looking for an experienced MS Infrastructure & Collaboration SME to join the IT Operations team. This role requires deep, hands-on expertise in Exchange Server On-Premises administration as the primary and mandatory skill set. Exposure to Exchange Online, Hybrid configurations, Active Directory, and Microsoft Entra ID is also required, along with experience across the broader Microsoft ecosystem, including Microsoft 365, Intune, SharePoint, SCCM/MECM, SCOM, AVD, Enterprise Vault, Windows Server, and Azure.
This is not an Exchange Online-only or cloud-only role. To be successful in this role you must have current, production-level experience managing Exchange Server On-Premises environments, including DAGs, databases, certificates, transport services, and mail flow within a live enterprise environment.

What You Will Do
- Provide L3/SME-level support for Exchange On-Premises, including DAG architecture, database availability groups, certificate lifecycle management, transport services, connectors, and mail flow troubleshooting.
- Manage Exchange Hybrid configurations connecting Exchange On-Premises with Exchange Online.
- Support Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS), including DNS, Group Policy, authentication, and replication, ensuring the health of Exchange-dependent services.
- Administer Microsoft Entra ID, including identities, authentication, users, groups, and roles, in support of a hybrid identity model.
- Lead complex incident resolution and root cause analysis for Exchange On-Premises outages, DAG failovers, and certificate-related mail flow issues.
- Support Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Microsoft 365 services, and Azure integrations with on-premises infrastructure.
- Administer supporting platforms including Windows Server, Enterprise Vault, SCCM/MECM, SCOM, SharePoint, and Intune.
- Perform Exchange On-Premises patching, cumulative update deployments, certificate renewals, and vulnerability remediation activities.
- Develop PowerShell automation for Exchange and Active Directory operational tasks.
- Maintain SOPs and runbooks covering Exchange On-Premises failover, certificate renewal, disaster recovery, and DAG recovery procedures.
What You Will Bring
Must have
- Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience administering Microsoft Exchange Server On-Premises in a large enterprise production environment.
- Experience with:
- Exchange DAG configuration, quorum management, witness servers, database failover, and recovery.
- Exchange certificate lifecycle management, including CSR generation, renewal, and multi-server certificate deployment.
- Exchange transport services, connectors, and mail flow troubleshooting.
- Exchange Hybrid configurations and coexistence with Exchange Online.
- Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS), DNS, Group Policy, and replication.
- Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and Microsoft Entra Connect.
- Windows Server administration and PowerShell scripting.
