Position

The Murex Back Office Consultant will be part of the GM IT Operations Squad responsible for providing IT services to the Global Markets Operations team. This squad supports change requests and projects related to Global Markets Operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with business stakeholders to conduct analysis and develop requirements.
  • Review technical and functional designs, build and test solutions, and ensure proper closure of various initiatives by taking ownership and accountability end-to-end.
  • Document user requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
  • Act as a liaison with Global Markets Operation teams, IT teams, and vendors.
  • Participate in active discussions with the business to transform needs into change or project initiatives.
  • Define systems and data requirements and validate system design and processes.
  • Develop and refine business/functional/testing requirements, working alongside vendors as needed.
  • Configure solutions as per requirements, serve as a subject matter expert on the Murex suite of tools, and ensure optimal functionality usage.
  • Create test plans and cases, conduct system testing, and contribute to user training activities.
  • Follow up with vendor support to resolve bugs/issues and ensure proper handover of technical and functional elements to relevant teams.
  • Assist in developing business and operational processes and create system training artifacts when necessary.

Mandatory Skills:

  • 7-9 years of working experience with a minimum of 5 years in Murex Operations, focusing on back-office workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with MXML development and configuration.
  • Relevant work experience in a bank or IT company, specifically in banking projects.
  • Experience implementing and supporting Murex v3.1 for back-office capabilities.
  • Strong understanding of Capital Markets products and processes from front to back.
  • Good exposure to Murex static data and operations processes, including post-trade and pre-trade workflows.
  • Understanding of SWIFT messages configuration.
  • Functional knowledge of various asset classes, including Credit Derivatives, Interest Rate Derivatives, and FX products.
  • Proven ability to liaise with stakeholders to gather requirements and specifications.
  • Strong numerical skills with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
