The Murex Back Office Consultant will be part of the GM IT Operations Squad, responsible for providing IT services to the Global Markets Operations team. This role includes support, change requests, and projects related to Global Markets Operations. The consultant will engage with business stakeholders, conduct analysis, develop requirements, review technical and functional designs, and build and test solutions while ensuring the successful closure of various initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and document user requirements, transposing them into Functional Specifications.
- Act as a key liaison with Global Markets Operation teams, IT teams, and vendors.
- Participate in discussions to understand business needs and transform them into change or project initiatives.
- Define systems and data requirements and validate design and processes from both functional and technical perspectives.
- Develop and refine business, functional, and testing requirements in support of projects and systems, collaborating with vendors as necessary.
- Configure solutions according to requirements and act as a subject matter expert for the Murex suite of tools.
- Create test plans, test cases, and execute system testing.
- Contribute to User Training activities and prepare training guides and presentations.
- Follow up with vendor support to resolve bugs/issues.
- Ensure technical and functional handover of projects and changes to relevant teams.
- Assist in developing business and operational processes and system training artifacts.
Mandatory Skills:
- 7-9 years of working experience, with a minimum of 5 years in Murex Operations as an SME with technical knowledge of back-office workflows (contracts, events, deliverables, exchanges) and hands-on experience with MXML development and configuration.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in a banking project or IT company.
- Experience in implementing and supporting Murex v3.1 regarding back-office capabilities.
- Excellent knowledge of Capital Markets products and processes, with a strong understanding of financial markets, trading, and banking solutions.
- Good exposure to Murex static data and Operations processes, including MxML Exchange and post-trade workflows.
- Understanding of SWIFT messages configuration (MT300, MT320, MT60X, MT54X, MT202, MT103).
- Excellent knowledge of the Murex datamart module.
- Functional knowledge of various asset classes including Credit Derivatives, Interest Rate Derivatives, Equity Derivatives, Fixed Income, FX Cash, FX Derivatives, Commodities, and Structured Derivatives.
- Strong knowledge of Global Markets products and practices from pricing to settlements and confirmation generation.
- Proven track record of liaising with stakeholders for business requirements, specification documents, and testing processes.
- Strong numerical skills and the ability to perform well under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
