Position

A leading bank in Saudi Arabia is seeking a Murex Back Office Developer to join its strategic Murex Greenfield Implementation Program. The role requires strong technical expertise combined with solid business and product knowledge, particularly in Collateral Management. The successful candidate will contribute to the design, configuration, and delivery of Back Office workflows and interfaces across the Murex MX.3 platform.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and configure Back Office solutions within the Murex platform.
  • Configure and develop Murex reports for report-based interfaces.
  • Build and customize tasks using the MxML Exchange framework.
  • Manage requirements through analysis, implementation, testing, user acceptance, and production deployment.
  • Provide knowledge transfer and training to production support teams.
  • Collaborate closely with QA teams to review test cases, analyze defects, and provide Murex configuration guidance.
  • Work with development teams to design and optimize workflow implementations.
  • Deliver technology solutions that simplify architecture and automate operational processes.
  • Engage with business stakeholders to discuss processing requirements and implementation outcomes.
  • Develop solutions for business processes not covered by the standard Murex task library.

Mandatory Skills:

  • 5–8 years of experience in Murex MxML and Back Office domain.
  • Strong understanding of Murex architecture and post-trade workflows.
  • Hands-on experience developing post-trade, confirmation, and settlement workflows for structured products.
  • Strong working knowledge of the MxML Exchange module (interfaces) in MX.3.
  • Experience developing Data Dictionary formulas.
  • Experience integrating external systems with the Murex platform.
  • Strong XML and XSLT development skills.
  • Experience with Back Office modules including:
    • SWIFT message generation (MT300, MT305, MT540, MT202, MT103)
    • Payment processing
    • Fixing
    • Settlement accounting
  • Good knowledge of Shell scripting and SQL.
  • Strong understanding of financial products across FX, Fixed Income, Money Markets, and Derivatives.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
  • Strong business and product knowledge, particularly in Collateral Management, which is essential for this role.
