Position

As a Murex Environment Manager for a Banking project, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Act as a first-level support for deployed Murex products, redirecting and following up on issues with corresponding support teams.
  • Experience in DevOps and GIT, overseeing the release management life cycle, including scheduling and coordinating environments for developers and releases within the project.
  • Manage and create different Murex environments for the project, troubleshooting any issues during the building phase.
  • Configure processing scripts, feeders, and stored procedures.
  • Perform and monitor daily/monthly housekeeping jobs related to Accounting, Market Data, etc.
  • Handle ad hoc operational requests such as file transfers, database masking, and OS/DB patch updates.
  • Liaise with vendors to run diagnostics and troubleshoot EOD issues.
  • Monitor and tune the performance of overall EOD processes.
  • Conduct sanity checks in Murex UI, including workflows and real-time data.
  • Work with DBAs to troubleshoot performance issues impacting EOD batches.
  • Extract Murex reports/batches and share them with users.
  • Analyze vulnerabilities raised on application and infrastructure and remediate them.
  • Manage Murex environments on LINUX RHEL.
  • Resolve feeder exceptions, overflow issues, and unblock stalled batches.

Essential Skills:

  • Proficient with Murex EOD architecture, key services, and end-to-end processes.
  • Strong understanding of Murex log structure and artifact locations.
  • Experience with Datamart dynamic tables, feeders, batch configuration, scanner templates, and processing script definitions.
  • Knowledge of scheduling tools such as Control M.
  • Proficient in debugging bash, ANT, and Python/Perl scripts on LINUX RHEL.
  • Understanding of database fundamentals, including query plans, SQL, and indexing.
  • Continuous monitoring of environments and ensuring adherence to engineering best practices.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in monitoring the release process and collecting feedback from different teams.
  • A track record of making regular improvements to the release process.

Experience Requirements:
5+ years of experience in Murex environment management.
