Position

The Murex Front Office Business Analyst will be part of the Global Markets IT Front Office squad, responsible for providing IT services to the Global Markets team. The squad manages support, change requests, and projects pertaining to Global Markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with business stakeholders to understand their needs and transform them into change or project initiatives.
  • Conduct analysis and documentation of user requirements, transposing them into functional specifications.
  • Act as a liaison between Global Markets teams, IT teams, and vendors.
  • Validate system design and processes from functional and technical perspectives.
  • Develop and refine business/functional/testing requirements, working alongside vendors as necessary.
  • Configuration of solutions as per requirements and acting as the subject matter expert for the Murex suite of tools used within Front Office.
  • Creation and execution of test plans and cases, contributing to user training activities, and preparation of training materials.
  • Follow up with vendor support to resolve issues and ensure technical and functional handover to relevant teams.
  • Assist in the development of business and operational processes.

Job Knowledge & Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Murex Front Office Business Analyst.
  • Extensive experience in setting up and validating interest rate curves, including for ARRs.
  • Expertise in at least two asset classes such as interest rate derivatives, equity derivatives, commodity derivatives, FX derivatives, or structured derivatives.
  • Strong exposure to Murex front office modules including E-Tradepad, Livebook, and P&L Notepad.
  • Familiarity with Flex API and pricing API is advantageous.
  • Experience leading projects and supporting Murex v3.1, with a strong knowledge of capital markets products and processes.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Postgraduate degree or qualification in Information Systems, Engineering, or Business Administration.
  • Relevant work experience of 5-7 years in a banking or IT environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
