The Murex FO support analyst will be part of the GM IT FO Squad, responsible for providing IT services to the Global Markets team. This role is crucial for supporting, managing change requests, and executing projects related to Global Markets. The key responsibilities include offering level 1 and level 2 trading floor support to traders and control groups.

Responsibilities

  • Support traders and middle office users with daily issues, including P&L/position mismatches, market data, and market operations.
  • Configure curves (rate, rate hedge, credit) and static data such as securities, generators, indices, currencies, vol surface, portfolios, user groups, and access rights in Murex.
  • Write new pre-trade rules and create/amend lookup tables, simulation views, e-tradepad strategies, and Live Book views.
  • Work on patch upgrades and version upgrades testing to reconcile any P&L/Greeks issues and prevent regressions.
  • Report on progress regarding issues and showstoppers to managers and other stakeholders.
  • Assist in developing business and operational processes and contribute to system training artifacts as necessary.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience as a Murex Front Office support analyst.
  • Extensive experience in setting up and validating interest rate curves, including for Alternative Reference Rates (ARRs).
  • Expertise in at least two asset classes among the following: IR vanilla and exotic derivatives, Equity Derivatives, Commodity Derivatives, FX Derivatives, Structured Products, and Credit Derivatives; at least one of these must be exotic.
  • Expertise in pricing, valuation, risk management, and sensitivities, particularly for exotic products.
  • Strong exposure to FO Modules of Murex, including E-Tradepad, Simulation, Livebook, RTPM, Pre-Trade Workflow, Market Data, Dynamic Tables, P&L Notepad, FDI Templates, Blotters, and Risk Matrices.
  • Experience in implementation and supporting Murex v3.1 related to front office capabilities.
  • Excellent knowledge of capital markets products and processes, from front to back.
  • Experience with the implementation of both linear and non-linear products in Murex.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent communication abilities.
  • Deep understanding of financial markets, trading, and banking solutions.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Global Markets products and practices, covering pricing, limit checks, booking, risk management, accounting generation, settlements, and confirmation generation.
  • Technically astute with relevant exposure and experience with banking systems and processes.
  • Proven track record of liaising with stakeholders for business requirements, specification documents, testing processes, and other relevant information.
  • Strong numerical skills with the capability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-have skills/experience

  • Knowledge of Python, SQL, or scripting languages used for pricing validation and reconciliation.
