Murex Production Support - Reporting

About the Job:
A leading bank in Riyadh is looking for a Murex Reporting Consultant to assist with report development.

Responsibilities:

• Understand the Murex system setup at the client, organization of the support teams, end-of-day procedures, and the report delivery process.
• Collect and provide detailed technical specifications/business requirement specifications.
• Develop a generic data model and create data mart objects as required for the reports.
• Reconcile report extraction output with the onscreen/mreport output.
• Analyze differences caused by adding or removing some filter conditions/dynamic table flags/launcher flags.
• Analyze data mart setup and table structures to identify redundant objects, minimize execution time of batches, and seek possibilities for reuse of objects.

Mandatory Skills:

• 10+ years of experience on Murex MX3.1 Datamart
• Comprehensive understanding of the Murex system and its overall architecture.
• In-depth knowledge of MX reporting architecture, MX data model, and MX Data Mart configuration.
• Familiarity with mxres configuration files and launcher flags.
• Thorough knowledge of Data Mart objects including dynamic tables, feeders, batch of feeders, and scanner templates.
• Exposure to Mreports; Mreport to Data Mart migration experience is desirable.
• Technical skills: very good knowledge of SQL (Sybase and Oracle), familiarity with at least one reporting tool (Actuate, Crystal Reports, MicroStrategy), and basic Unix commands.
• Understanding of Trade Life Cycle.
• Basic knowledge of financial instruments such as Interest Rate Derivatives, Credit Derivatives, Currency Derivatives, Swaps, Futures, Options, FRA, etc.
