What You’ll Do:
- Provide leadership to the Oracle MySQL Heatwave Solutions Engineering EMEA Team
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Oracle MySQL Heatwave activities and be responsible for the outcome of all engagements
- Support Sales teams during the complete sales cycle, including customer meetings, product demos, architecture discussions, and health checks
- Assist in the development of short-, medium-, and long-term plans to achieve strategic objectives
- Regularly interact across functional areas with senior management or executives
- Prepare and educate customers on new product features, releases, and best practices in a scalable and repeatable manner
- Serve as the customers’ advocate and provide feedback to product management and development organizations
- Work with stakeholders in Technology Engineering and Product Management to ensure alignment and execute strategic growth plans
- Conduct Quarterly business reviews
- Engage continuously with C-level executives
- Responsible for the team’s skill development by identifying and nominating individuals for appropriate technical/non-technical trainings
- Proactively drive consumption of MySQL Heatwave services across all EMEA
Requirements
What You’ll Bring:
- 10+ years of experience in a technical management role
- 5+ years of Solution Engineering experience
- Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Strong accountability and governance ensuring excellence in customer experience
- Ability to engage with customers and internal stakeholders for strategic conversations regarding Enterprise Database architectures
- Experience with MySQL or other database offerings
- General understanding of the Open Source community
- Knowledge of industry trends and standards being adopted
- Proven ability to quickly learn new technical domains
