Key Accountabilities:
- Conduct fuel and payload studies for future destinations.
- Analyze and publish safety-critical information, such as terrain avoidance instructions for the flight crew.
- Perform technical assessments for destinations and alternates, ensuring all charting requirements are met to support the network.
- Participate in simulator sessions for validating specialized navigation procedures.
- Provide fuel value assessments for finance to determine annual fuel budgets.
Qualifications:
- Minimum education: High School level / Standard; a Degree in Engineering is an advantage.
- At least 4 years of experience in a navigation environment.
- Previous flight planning experience is advantageous.
- In-depth knowledge of aeronautical information services, air traffic management, state regulatory bodies (JAA/FAA), IATA organization, resources & processes, ICAO Annexes & support manuals.
- Sound knowledge of airspace, air routes, flight planning systems, as well as onboard navigation computer capabilities and airport design criteria.
