Network Access Control Engineer

As a Level 2 Network Security Engineer, you will play a crucial operational role in safeguarding the organization’s network infrastructure. This position involves configuring, monitoring, and maintaining network security systems including firewalls, VPNs, IPS/IDS, and secure gateways. You will be responsible for identifying and responding to security incidents, managing rule changes, and supporting network design in collaboration with Level 3 engineers and security architects.

Key responsibilities include managing remote access and site-to-site VPNs, developing and implementing Cisco ISE solutions for Authentication, Authorization, and Accounting (AAA) policies, and serving as a subject matter expert for Cisco ISE, troubleshooting complex issues as they arise. You will also create and enforce detailed network access policies, regularly maintain ISE infrastructure performance, and integrate Cisco ISE with other security solutions to enhance security measures. Ensuring alignment with internal security policies and regulatory standards like ISO 27001, SAMA, and NCA is essential, along with assisting in compliance reporting and audits.

Candidates should typically have 3+ years of relevant work experience, with at least 2 years in a similar role, and a solid understanding of network protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, and VPN. Proficiency in AAA methodologies, experience with NAC solutions like 802.1X, and familiarity with log analysis and SIEM tools are also necessary qualifications. A Bachelor's Degree in Network Engineering or a related field along with certifications like Cisco CCNA is preferred.
