Network Administrator

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Network Administrator to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This crucial role involves maintaining and updating our network infrastructure under the guidance of our IT Network Lead. The ideal candidate will possess foundational networking skills, hands-on experience with network hardware, and basic certifications such as CCNA. Exposure to Cisco and Fortinet products (firewalls, switches, access points, etc.) is essential for this position.

Key Accountabilities:

• Assist in the management and updating of network devices, including but not limited to FortiGate firewalls and Cisco switches.
• Work with senior engineers on deploying and upgrading network solutions.
• Support LAN/WAN infrastructure, VLAN configurations, VPN tunnels, and wireless networks.
• Assist in the management and deployment of Cisco and Fortinet Access Points.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments to achieve network objectives.
• Document network configurations and changes, and assist in the creation of network diagrams and topology documentation.
• Monitor capacity and availability, and implement network performance tuning, utilizing tools like Manage Engine OP Manager and NetFlow Analyzer.
• Backup all network device configurations on an annual basis and after configuration changes.
• Perform hardening on network devices frequently and according to agreed schedules.
• Handle escalations with vendor-side to resolve network technical issues.
• Manage VLAN configuration and administration.
• Manage communications with ISP (Etisalat) for WAN services.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Certification in CCNA: Routing & Switching.

Minimum Experience:
1-3 years of experience in Network Administration or a related field.
