Job Summary
The primary responsibility of the Network and Security Engineer is to provide technical support to NTT clients. This role involves compiling technical specifications in a clear and concise manner to explain the advantages and disadvantages of options leading to the final solution while working towards professional to expert level certification and developing business knowledge. A minimum of 8 to 9 years of UAE/GCC experience in a similar role is required.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Interact with clients on-site and remotely to meet complex requirements of solutions.
  • Escalate unresolved problems and issues to the relevant third parties.
  • Respond to escalated client requests and support client applications for first-line resolution.
  • Write reports and proposals and maintain project documentation.
  • Assist with documentation of standard operating procedures relating to installations and fixes.
  • Coach and mentor junior Implementation Engineers and Technicians.
  • Coordinate activities of junior Engineers in line with performance targets.
  • Participate in higher complexity design work with expected input.

Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes:

  • Good understanding of technical design and business principles.
  • Demonstrates project fundamental and administration abilities.
  • Strong customer engagement and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and provide coaching and guidance to team members.

Academic Qualifications and Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Computing, or a related field.
  • Professional level certification in Networking technologies such as Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, F5, CCNP, JNCIS, ACMP, CISSP, Fortinet, Palo Alto, etc. CCIE certification is optional.

Required Experience:

  • Extensive experience in technical implementation engineering related to Networking technologies.
  • Proven experience engaging with clients and conducting presentations.
  • Proficient in networking technologies such as routing, switching, wireless, and SDI distribution.

Additional Requirements:

  • Thorough hands-on technical knowledge of FortiGate and Palo Alto NGFWs, F5 Load Balancers, and Web Application Firewall.
  • Familiarity with Cisco Nexus Switching, ACI Fabric, OSPF Routing, and Micro segmentation concepts.
  • Theoretical and practical knowledge of AWS, Azure Private Cloud Networking, and Cloud Security techniques.
  • Familiarity with SDWAN products and services, particularly Cisco Meraki.

Operational & Technical Responsibilities:

  • Managing Business Transformation Initiatives and providing operational support.
  • Ensuring adherence to security, compliance, regulatory, and audit requirements.
  • Maintaining the High Availability Network and Network Security Infrastructure.
  • Supporting the maintenance of healthy relationships with regional vendors and ISPs.
  • Contributing to KEDB, SOPs, Process/Policies documentation and participating in regular DR and patching exercises.
