About the Job
The primary responsibility of the Network and Security Engineer is to provide technical support to NTT clients. This role involves compiling technical specifications clearly and concisely, explaining the advantages and disadvantages of various options leading to a final solution, and creating alternative solutions for backup planning. The position requires developing business knowledge while progressing towards professional and expert-level certifications. A minimum of 8 to 9 years of experience in the UAE or GCC in a similar role is required.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Engage with clients both on-site and remotely to meet complex solution requirements.
- Escalate unresolved issues to relevant third parties.
- Respond to escalated client requests and support client applications for first-line resolution.
- Write reports and proposals, and maintain project documentation.
- Assist with documenting standard operating procedures for installations and fixes.
- Act as a coach and mentor to junior Implementation Engineers and Technicians.
- Coordinate the activities of junior Engineers in line with performance targets.
- Participate in higher complexity design work, providing input as required.
- Take ownership of relevant technologies according to your domain or specialization.
Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes:
- Solid understanding of technical design and business principles.
- Proven project management and administration abilities.
- Excellent project execution skills demonstrated through installations and assignments.
- Strong customer engagement skills.
- Relevant domain specialist knowledge.
- Effective verbal communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and mentor team members.
Academic Qualifications and Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computing, or a related field.
- Professional-level certification in various Networking technologies (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto, etc.).
- CCIE certification is a plus.
Required Experience:
- Extensive experience in technical implementation engineering, particularly in Networking technologies.
- Proven experience engaging with clients and delivering presentations.
- Solid expertise in networking technologies such as routing, switching, and security.
Additional Requirements:
- Hands-on experience with FortiGate, Palo Alto Next-Generation Firewalls, and F5 Load Balancers.
- Familiarity with Cisco Nexus Switching, OSPF Routing, and Micro-segmentation concepts.
- Knowledge of AWS and Azure Private Cloud Networking along with Cloud Security techniques.
- Experience with SDWAN products and services, preferably Cisco Meraki.
Operational & Technical Responsibilities:
- Support business transformation initiatives and provide operational support.
- Oversee IT service delivery and maintain high availability across data centers and cloud environments.
- Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and business continuity requirements.
- Foster relationships with regional vendors and ISPs, and contribute to process and policy documentation.
