- Troubleshoot network issues and work through L2 and L3 support incidents with a focus on automation-based remediation.
- Monitor and improve network performance and uptime across diverse hardware and topologies.
- Ensure network security policies are enforced through configuration automation and compliance checks.
- Collaborate with infrastructure and systems engineers to support seamless deployment and scaling of bare metal resources.
- Contribute to the design and architecture of scalable, fault-tolerant network solutions.
Required Qualifications:
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Networking, Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent experience accepted.
- Proven experience with network automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and Netmiko/NAPALM.
- Hands-on experience with configuration and management of network equipment (Cumulus, SONIC, Cisco, Juniper, Arista, MikroTik, etc.).
- Strong programming/scripting skills in Python, Go, or similar languages.
- Deep understanding of network protocols and services (BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VPN, NAT, DHCP, DNS, etc.).
- Familiarity with REST APIs and SNMP for network device management.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines for network changes.
- Knowledge of Linux networking and troubleshooting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or DevNet Associate/Professional are a plus.
- Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) practices in networking environments.
- Exposure to observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or NetBox.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure is a must.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate and be proactive in asking questions is a must.
