Network Control Local Support Engineer

The role of the Network Control Local Support Engineer is to provide on-site network support for local customers, ensuring the smooth operation of computer systems and networks. Responsibilities include installing, configuring, and maintaining computer hardware, software, and peripheral equipment, as well as troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to networking, printing, and other IT functions. The position also involves providing user support, training, and assistance in using various applications and software programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide on-site network support for local customers.
• Ensure smooth operation of computer systems and networks.
• Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripheral equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to networking and IT functions.
• Provide user support, training, and assistance with various applications and software programs.

Impact:

• Focus on designing, communicating, and implementing operational plans for completing engineering-based projects.
• Monitor project progress and performance against plans, resolving operational problems to minimize delays.
• Gather necessary resources for project completion; including engineering standards, designs, work specifications, project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and selection of materials and staff.

Required Qualifications:

• More than 5 years of SCADA experience, and at least 3 years in Network Management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or a similar field.

Additional Skills:

• Experience with SCADA-RTU integration.
• Knowledge of Energy and Utility protocols such as 60870-5-101, 60870-5-104, MODBUS TCP, RTU, DNP3, ICCP, OPC UA, DA, and MQTT.

Language Requirements:

• Proficiency in both spoken and written English is required.
• Knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
