Network Controller

The Network Controller is responsible for evaluating potential risks to the Etihad operation, which includes Global Airports and the Abu Dhabi Hub. The role involves understanding cost implications of alternatives and providing solutions to minimize impact on guests. Key responsibilities include monitoring and updating operational information in the Operations Movement Control system, taking immediate action during conflicts within the network, addressing safety and security risks according to the company’s Emergency Response Plan, responding to stakeholder requests for operational assistance, initiating and implementing new procedures from Network Control Management, evaluating operational conditions using weather forecasts, and managing ad-hoc activities such as charter flights and contingency plans.

Education & Experience:

• Preferably a degree from a recognized university or an industry-accredited operational qualification.
• Minimum of 3 years of airline operations experience, with at least 1 year in a position such as Operations Control, Station Control, or Dispatch.
• Knowledge of aviation weather and airline operations from various perspectives is advantageous.
• Ability to interpret weather, NOTAMs, and relevant flight documentation.
• Working knowledge of Flight Planning and Crewing functions and procedures.
• Experience with AIMS or other operations control systems.
