The company is seeking a highly skilled and solution-oriented Network Engineer to develop and enhance network platform capabilities. This role will support and improve business processes by creating new solutions or modifying existing ones.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement strategies to achieve optimal network performance, reliability, and security while identifying areas for improvement.
  • Develop and deploy new network solutions and enhance the resilience of the existing network environment.
  • Build network infrastructure by designing system configurations, overseeing system installations, and defining/enforcing system standards.
  • Install, configure, and maintain network equipment such as routers, switches, proxy servers, DNS, DHCP, and WAN accelerators.
  • Monitor network performance, troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues, and collaborate with network architects to optimize the network.
  • Anticipate networking trends, analyze current data traffic, forecast network growth, and upgrade network equipment as necessary.
  • Utilize a variety of tools to monitor networks and ensure all alerts are addressed promptly in line with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Work closely with vendors and the fault management team to resolve system-related issues and escalate problems to senior engineers as required.
  • Perform disaster recovery operations and ensure timely data backups when required.
  • Design high-performance, resilient, and secure network architectures for Smart City infrastructure, including AI-driven security systems and cloud-based platforms.
  • Collaborate with network architects and security teams to enforce system security and performance standards.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Certifications from Cisco, Juniper, Huawei, or Fortinet NSE are a plus.
  • Willingness to international travel at least 50% as required by the role, based on business needs and project requirements.

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in network administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

  • Routing & Switching (BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs, STP)
  • LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, VPN, MPLS, 4G/5G backhaul
  • Firewalls (Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, Checkpoint)
  • Azure/AWS Cloud Networking (VPC, Load Balancers, VPN Gateways)
