Position

Parsons is seeking an exceptionally talented Network Engineer (IP) to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this full-time on-site role, you will monitor and measure the activity and performance of a commercial telecom/IP network. Your responsibilities will include collecting, interpreting, and reporting network data as well as individual customer performance data to provide statistics for billing.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Monitor and measure the performance of a commercial telecom/IP network.
  • Collect, analyze, and report network and customer performance data to support billing and operational insights.
  • Develop and maintain applications and programs using C, C++, and Java.
  • Create and manage scripts using Perl, AWK, and SED to automate network performance tasks.
  • Utilize network management tools (e.g., HPOV, Netcool, Nerve Center) to ensure optimal network performance.
  • Apply technical expertise in TCP/IP, SNMP, ATM, and Frame Relay to troubleshoot and optimize network operations.
  • Develop and maintain web-based tools using CGI, HTML, and ASP for reporting and management purposes.
  • Work with operating systems such as Solaris and Windows NT to support network infrastructure.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • Typically requires 8+ years of related professional experience.
  • Strong understanding of telecom/IP network protocols, including TCP/IP, SNMP, ATM, and Frame Relay.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, and Java.
  • Expertise in scripting languages, including Perl, AWK, and SED.
  • Experience with network management tools like HPOV, Netcool, and Nerve Center.
  • Knowledge of web development tools, including CGI, HTML, and ASP.
  • Familiarity with operating systems such as Solaris and Windows NT.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret and report network performance data.
  • Effective communication skills to present technical findings and collaborate with team members.
