Network Engineer (Level 2)

About the Role
This position involves performing advanced diagnostics at the system, application, and infrastructure levels. You will be responsible for conducting root-cause analysis for major and recurring incidents and owning the implementation of permanent fixes. Additionally, you will manage OEM support cases in line with Service Level Agreements (SLA) and coordinate the configuration, firmware, and software maintenance, including upgrades. The role also emphasizes preventive maintenance and predictive monitoring to ensure optimal operation of IT systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct advanced diagnostics at system, application, and infrastructure levels.
• Perform root-cause analysis for major and recurring incidents; take ownership of implementing permanent fixes.
• Manage OEM support cases in accordance with SLA.
• Oversee configuration, firmware, and software maintenance; coordinate necessary upgrades.
• Execute preventive maintenance and predictive monitoring strategies.
• Maintain design documents, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and knowledge base resources.
• Mentor Level-2 staff to enhance their technical skills.
• Provide technical assessments to the Change Advisory Board.
• Execute Level-2 diagnosis, perform hardware swaps, and escalate design issues as needed.

Requirements

• Certifications: Aruba (ACMA/ACSA) or Cisco (CCNA).
• ITIL Foundation certification.
• Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience in similar environments.
