About the Role
The Network Engineer ensures the stability and integrity of the organization's voice, data, video, and wireless network services. This position is crucial in planning, designing, and developing local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs) across the organization. The Network Engineer will also be responsible for system network design, identifying problem areas including network infrastructure and servers, and finding ways to enhance and improve existing systems.

Job Responsibilities
- Oversee new and existing equipment, hardware, software upgrades.
- Configure networks to ensure their smooth and reliable operations.
- Oversee installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of end user workstation hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
- Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards to stay updated on developments in the networking industry.
- Design, implement, and maintain VOIP phone systems, including phone servers and phones.
- Ensure network connectivity of all servers, workstations, telephony equipment, fax machines, and other network appliances.
- Manage servers, including database, email, printers, and backup servers, along with their associated operating systems and software.
- Practice network asset management, including the maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications.
- Monitor and test network performance, providing performance statistics and reports.
- Conduct server and security audits, as well as system backups and recovery.
Job Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of LAN, WAN, WLAN, and WWAN design and implementation.
- Knowledge of network capacity planning, network security principles, and best practices in network management.
- Proven experience with VOIP phone systems.
- Knowledge of network infrastructure and hardware.
- Understanding of application transport and network infrastructure protocols.
- ERP knowledge, preferably in SAP functional skills, is required for success in this role.
Job Experience
- Minimum 8 years of working experience, with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
- 2 years of experience in GCC is a plus.
