Network Engineer

About the Job:
Presight is seeking a highly skilled and solution-oriented Network Engineer to develop and enhance network platform capabilities. This role will support and improve business processes by creating new solutions or modifying existing ones.

Responsibilities:
As a Network Engineer at Presight, you will:

• Design and implement strategies for optimal network performance, reliability, and security while identifying areas for improvement.
• Develop and deploy new network solutions and enhance the resilience of the existing network environment.
• Build network infrastructure by designing system configurations, overseeing system installations, and defining/enforcing system standards.
• Install, configure, and maintain network equipment such as routers, switches, proxy servers, DNS, DHCP, and WAN accelerators.
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues.
• Utilize a variety of tools to monitor networks, systems, storage, and data centers.
• Work closely with vendors and the fault management team to resolve system-related issues.
• Administer firewall environments by analyzing firewall logs in compliance with IT security policies.
• Perform disaster recovery operations and ensure timely data backups when required.

Qualifications:
To qualify, you must have:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in network administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Certifications from Cisco, Juniper, Huawei, or Fortinet NSE are a plus.
• Willingness to travel internationally at least 50% as required.

Preferred Skills:

• Expertise in Network Infrastructure & Protocols such as Routing & Switching (BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs, STP).
• Experience with Firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, SIEM tools, and Cloud Networking (Azure/AWS).
• Strong understanding of NOC operations and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
