Responsibilities:
As a Network Engineer at Presight, you will:
- Design and implement strategies for optimal network performance, reliability, and security while identifying areas for improvement.
- Develop and deploy new network solutions and enhance the resilience of the existing network environment.
- Build network infrastructure by designing system configurations, overseeing system installations, and defining/enforcing system standards.
- Install, configure, and maintain network equipment such as routers, switches, proxy servers, DNS, DHCP, and WAN accelerators.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues.
- Utilize a variety of tools to monitor networks, systems, storage, and data centers.
- Work closely with vendors and the fault management team to resolve system-related issues.
- Administer firewall environments by analyzing firewall logs in compliance with IT security policies.
- Perform disaster recovery operations and ensure timely data backups when required.
Qualifications:
To qualify, you must have:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in network administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Certifications from Cisco, Juniper, Huawei, or Fortinet NSE are a plus.
- Willingness to travel internationally at least 50% as required.
Preferred Skills:
- Expertise in Network Infrastructure & Protocols such as Routing & Switching (BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs, STP).
- Experience with Firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, SIEM tools, and Cloud Networking (Azure/AWS).
- Strong understanding of NOC operations and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
