As a Network Implementation Engineer, you will serve as the initial point of our efforts to execute deployment, maintenance, and operations of private data networks worldwide. Your role will involve collaboration with Technical Program Managers, Network Engineers, Design and Infrastructure Engineers, Field Engineers at the company, as well as construction and telecommunications vendors and contractors. You will help facilitate faster, better, and more efficient outcomes for the business and our customers, aiming to build the world’s most reliable, cost-effective, and scalable network to support all current and future customers and users globally.

The company's network provides services to millions of Internet users around the world. Our metros are on the edge of our network where the company connects to its users. The Network Team is responsible for operating that network reliably and at scale, owning the full lifecycle of all space, power, and network assets in the company's data centers and metro points of presence.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Oversight and Quality Assurance (QA) of installation technicians for rack, stack, and installation of networking equipment.
- Commissioning and testing routers, optical transport equipment, and other network devices in new and existing network nodes across the company's global network.
- Generating implementation plans and providing technical leadership during deployment activities.
- Working closely with project management and network engineering teams to identify potential problems in network installations before they arise, including issues related to facility power, cooling, security/access, rack layout, and cable management.
- Owning network documentation and maintaining network drawings and plans.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Network Engineering, Telecom Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience in carrier-class environments, and with Layer 1 physical infrastructure (e.g., DWDM, AC/DC power, OSP/ISP) and Layer 2/3 networking (TCP/IP, routing).
- Experience with field deployments, ensuring installation quality, and resolving on-site technical issues.
- Ability to interpret and validate deployment packages for design accuracy and escalate discrepancies to engineering partners.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in identifying recurring errors in deployment packages and improving design accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Familiarity with network troubleshooting and testing tools, network automation tools, scripting, or SQL for database queries.
- Proven ability to lead technical projects and coordinate with third-party vendors and field technicians to meet deployment timelines.
