Position

The company is seeking a Network Operations Engineer to join our Edge and Network Services (ENS) Foundation NetOps team. In this role, you will utilize your knowledge in hyperscale data center structured cabling, fiber connectivity solutions, and IP networking to support the delivery of field repair services. You will collaborate closely with internal business teams, external vendors, network design/engineering, and other cross-functional teams to develop strategies for integrating new technologies and enhancing support for existing technologies across our operational fleet. Your primary objective will be to understand the technical drivers for the business and organize strategies to ensure operational supportability meets those needs. Additionally, you will help represent ENS across various stakeholder groups to assist in achieving critical projects.

Location: Newton County, GA (On-site) Compensation: $51.44/hour to $159,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits Work Conditions: Full-time, on-site, with international and domestic travel required up to 25% of the time, depending on business needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Incident Response: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, managed service providers, and third-party vendors to investigate complex technical issues during major incidents/site events, contributing to their resolution.
  • Change Management: Identify security and business continuity issues affecting the network and work to implement effective changes. Provide feedback on existing tools and policies to adapt to rapid expansion.
  • Operations: Identify improvement opportunities across policies and processes to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
  • Collaboration and Partnership: Work closely with internal customers and influence future network designs for seamless infrastructure integration.
  • Team Leadership: Deliver predictable business outcomes globally, detecting and prioritizing operational issues.
  • Risk Management: Collaborate with teams to design processes that manage data protection risks and ensure operations continuity.
  • Information and Data Assurance: Ensure operational documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Automation: Identify new automation opportunities to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Data Measurement: Analyze metrics and evolve them to meet infrastructure and business needs.
  • Communication: Provide clear communication around team goals and progress.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing or in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field.
  • 4+ years of experience in large-scale network operations.
  • Hands-on experience with optical/network communication equipment.
  • Strong communication skills for engaging effectively with vendors and translating performance issues.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and problem-solving.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in global Network Operations Center (NOC) environments.
  • Direct experience managing SLAs and continuous improvements.
  • Project management experience.
  • Familiar with AI tools and tools for optimizing workflows.
