The company is currently seeking a Network Operations Technician to join our IT Operations Engineering & Support Team. This pivotal role involves monitoring network systems, investigating performance issues, and ensuring optimal network functionality in preparation for the resort's opening in 2027.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor network systems for performance issues, outages, and security threats.
- Investigate and resolve network problems using diagnostic tools and logs.
- Perform routine maintenance and upgrades, including patches, firmware updates, and configuration changes.
- Install and configure network equipment such as routers, switches, firewalls, and access points.
- Collaborate with network engineers and architects to optimize system performance.
- Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, incidents, and resolutions.
- Participate in on-call rotations and respond to after-hours network alerts.
- Support end users and IT teams with network-related issues and escalations.
- Ensure compliance with internal security protocols and external regulatory standards.
About You:
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in network operations or IT infrastructure support.
- Proficiency in TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and VLAN configurations.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds) and ITSM platforms (e.g., ServiceNow).
- Experience with wireless systems and controllers (e.g., WLC).
- Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, or equivalent are preferred.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
- Familiarity with cloud networking (Azure, AWS) is a plus.
