Network Security Engineer

Oivan is looking for a Senior Network Security Engineer with preferred experience in F5, PaloAlto, and Fortinet security products such as WAF and NGFW. The candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining network and security on IaaS cloud, mainly OpenStack. This role includes overseeing network configuration, firewall roles, IPSec, and various VPN technologies.

We seek a passionate network and security engineer with at least 5 years of experience in managing and troubleshooting network/security infrastructure. The role involves providing Level-2 support as an operations engineer and managing daily requests from different internal departments while communicating with vendors and service providers for Level-3 support incidents. The position is based on-site at our customer’s premises in Riyadh, KSA.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, plan, and implement secure network topologies using multivendor technologies (Cisco, PaloAlto, etc.).
• Implement and manage perimeter security controls and solutions based on Cybersecurity department recommendations.
• Manage WAN and LAN security, site-to-site VPN, and remote VPN access.
• Implement firewall policies and threat protection.
• Conduct security upgrades, patching, configuration backup.
• Handle network technologies including DNS, DHCP, SYSLOG, IP address management, and route optimization.
• Provide Level-2 support for access, core, and perimeter infrastructure, monitoring KPIs for network and security appliances.
• Implement security controls, perform audits, and handle incident response and problem troubleshooting.
• Continuously monitor web traffic and application behavior to detect and respond to threats.
• Manage vendor relationships, support contract discussions, SLA tracking, and issues escalation.
• Evaluate and remediate web application threats, deploying network segmentation and policy enforcement strategies.
• Leverage automation and scripting (e.g., Python, RegEx) for deployment and monitoring of network security infrastructure.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Electronics, or Equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in network security roles.
• Preferably Cisco Certified Professional (CCNP, CCSP).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated team player capable of working with minimal supervision.
• Hands-on experience with WAF platforms and knowledge of web application security.
• Familiarity with firewall configuration, network protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP/S), and related security services.
• Knowledge of IPSec, MPLS, and other VPN technologies, and routing protocols.
