Key Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Architecture & Design Leadership: Lead the design and evolution of enterprise network and security architecture aligned with business and compliance requirements.
  • Advanced Troubleshooting & Problem Resolution: Own and resolve high-severity incidents by addressing Layer 1–7 issues across networking, firewalls, routing, DNS, proxies, and cloud networking.
  • Multiskilling & Cross-Functional Expertise: Provide mentorship across various technology domains including routing, switching, firewalls, load balancers, VPNs, SD-WAN, and NAC.
  • Security Posture & Threat Management: Implement and maintain network segmentation, access control, and zero-trust strategies.
  • Operations Oversight & Optimization: Oversee network performance, availability, and efficiency while ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Project Leadership: Lead critical infrastructure projects including migrations and upgrades, ensuring secure rollout of new services.
  • Vendor & Contract Management: Manage vendors and service providers, ensuring SLA compliance.
  • Compliance & Audit Readiness: Maintain documentation to meet audit and compliance requirements (e.g., PCI-DSS, ISO 27001).
  • Monitoring & Incident Detection: Utilize monitoring tools to proactively identify performance issues and threats.
  • Team Development: Provide coaching and build development plans for team members, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous learning.
  • Documentation: Strong experience in documentation tools, ensuring alignment with compliance and organizational standards.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Typically, 7+ years of relevant work experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a similar role.
  • Deep hands-on expertise in enterprise networking, SDN solutions, and firewall administration (Cisco, Aruba, Fortinet, Palo Alto, etc.).
  • Full-stack network knowledge (routing, switching, DNS, VPN, proxies, load balancers, SD-WAN, NAC, Wi-Fi, ACI, SD-Access).
  • Proficient in troubleshooting complex multi-vendor, multi-layer issues under pressure.
  • Understanding of secure cloud networking (Azure/AWS) and hybrid environments.
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as Cybersecurity Framework, NCA, ISO 27001, NIST.

Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field.
  • Preferred certifications: Cisco CCIE (DC, Enterprise, Security), CISSP / CISM, AWS/Azure Network Specialty.

Working Conditions:

  • Based in Saudi Arabia with on-site visits to data centers and site offices.
  • Availability for critical incidents and changes outside of normal working hours.
  • Hybrid collaboration with global teams, regulators, and auditors.

Language Requirements: Strong proficiency in English is required.
