Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, monitor, and optimize network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN) to ensure high availability, performance, and security.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to network, wireless, and security systems, including routers, switches, wireless controllers, and firewalls.
- Configure and maintain firewall rules, VPNs, VLANs, ACLs, and access control policies to enforce network security.
- Support IP telephony systems, covering extensions, call routing, voice quality monitoring, troubleshooting, and system maintenance.
- Assist end-users with network, wireless, telephony, and security issues, providing troubleshooting assistance and escalating complex problems as needed.
- Develop and maintain network backup and recovery plans for critical configurations and test disaster recovery procedures regularly.
- Document network, wireless, telephony, and security configurations, diagrams, SOPs, and incident resolutions; provide periodic reports for audits and management review.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory compliance and internal audit requirements related to networking, wireless and security.
- Stay updated on the latest technologies and provide recommendations for enhancements to improve the organization’s security posture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Computer Engineering or coursework in networking, security, or telecommunications.
- Cisco (CCNP), Fortinet (NSE), SonicWall (SNSA) or other relevant networking, security, or telephony certifications.
- Minimum of 4 to 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
Skills and Abilities
- Strong understanding of Network Management.
- Familiarity with ITIL and its applications.
- Ability to work with reports and conduct root cause analysis.
- Maintain documentation and ensure network operations.
- Monitor vendor SLAs and work with vendors for solutions and support.
