Responsibilities
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and related network infrastructure.
- Install and support switches, routers, firewalls, access points, servers, and network-connected devices.
- Perform structured cabling, patch-panel termination, rack installation, labeling, and cable testing.
- Monitor network availability and performance and resolve connectivity issues.
- Configure IP addresses, VLANs, VPNs, routing, switching, DNS, and DHCP services.
- Diagnose hardware, software, cabling, and network-performance problems.
- Perform preventive maintenance and replace defective network components.
- Maintain network diagrams, device inventories, configuration records, and service reports.
- Support users with network access, internet connectivity, IP phones, printers, and related IT equipment.
- Follow cybersecurity controls, change-management procedures, and site safety requirements.
Requirements
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field.
- Minimum 5–10 years of relevant experience in network installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, VPN, routing, switching, and wireless networks.
- Hands-on experience with routers, switches, firewalls, access points, and structured cabling systems.
- Experience in fibre-optic and copper-cable installation, termination, and testing is preferred.
- Familiarity with Cisco or equivalent networking equipment.
- CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent certification is preferred.
- Ability to use network diagnostic, monitoring, and cable-testing tools.
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and teamwork skills.
