We are seeking an NOC Infrastructure Engineer - L1 to join our IT operations team. Key Responsibilities:
- Monitoring and Incident Detection: Continuously monitor IT infrastructure and systems using Solarwinds. Respond to alerts and incidents, ensuring quick detection and resolution of issues while escalating to L2 or L3 engineers when necessary.
- Initial Troubleshooting: Perform troubleshooting on IT infrastructure and system issues, including Systems, Windows and Linux OS, DB, Storage systems, Cloud Solutions, Virtual Environments, MS Azure, etc. Use remote tools to access devices and servers, documenting all incidents and resolutions in the incident management system.
- Incident Management: Categorize and prioritize incidents based on severity, ensuring timely communication with stakeholders until resolution. Follow up on escalated issues to ensure they are addressed promptly.
- IT Infrastructure and System Maintenance: Assist in routine maintenance tasks, including applying patches and updates. Perform health checks on devices and services to ensure optimal performance.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain documentation of IT infrastructure topology, configurations, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Generate performance reports on incidents and metrics.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work with L2 and L3 engineers and other IT teams to resolve issues and improve reliability. Participate in team meetings to discuss ongoing issues and contribute to improvement initiatives.
- Shift Work and On-Call Support: Willingness to participate in a 24/7 shift environment and on-call rotations for off-hours and weekends.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: 3+ years in large industry monitoring of digital infrastructure in a production environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in troubleshooting Windows/Linux OS, DB, Cloud Solutions, Virtual Environments, MS Azure, and other infrastructure components.
- Monitoring Tools: Experience with IT Infrastructure monitoring tools (SolarWinds) and incident management systems (ServiceNow).
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical ability for basic troubleshooting on IT infrastructure and system issues.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to document and explain technical issues clearly.
- Certifications: Microsoft/Linux/Cloud/Hardware/Solarwinds certifications preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a 24/7 operations environment, particularly in a NOC or similar role.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes related to incident and problem management.
- Knowledge of cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure) and their monitoring tools.
- Good understanding of Digital & Cybersecurity service management processes.
