The ideal candidate will have a degree or postgraduate qualification in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent industry experience, along with a minimum of 7 years of development and design experience in Spring Boot and Microservices architecture. Hands-on experience in performance tuning, debugging, and monitoring is essential, as is an understanding of containerization with experience in Docker and Kubernetes.

The role demands extensive coding experience following SOLID principles and Event Driven Architecture, with proficiency in Spring Boot, KAFKA, MongoDB, Spring Cloud, and Hibernate. A passion for coding is important, as is experience with cloud design patterns and their implementation. Familiarity with CI/CD principles and troubleshooting issues in a distributed services ecosystem is required, in addition to exposure to API gateway integrations like 3Scale and Kong.
Hands-on experience in Node.js (TypeScript), HTML, CSS-pre-processors, or CSS-in-JS for creating high-performance responsive web applications is expected, along with expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, and NoSQL databases.
Experience in the banking, financial, or Fintech sectors in an enterprise environment is preferred. Familiarity with coding, security, unit testing, and documentation standards and practices, as well as experience in Agile methodology, will be advantageous.
Soft skills are equally important; the candidate must be able to influence multiple teams on technical considerations, thus increasing productivity and effectiveness by sharing knowledge and experience. A self-motivator and self-starter, the successful applicant should be capable of driving initiatives without supervision and collaborating effectively with teams across the organization.
