Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality live Computer Science lessons tailored to individual student needs.
- Teach key computer science concepts, including programming, algorithms, data structures, computational thinking, and problem-solving.
- Use a range of teaching strategies and digital tools to create an interactive and supportive online learning environment.
- Assess student progress, provide targeted feedback, and adapt teaching approaches to support strong academic outcomes.
- Plan and communicate clear course schedules, including lesson content and assessment timelines.
- Set meaningful homework and design and administer appropriate assessments.
- Develop high-quality educational materials and contribute to the company's learning resources.
- Maintain a professional and well-organized online classroom and learning environment.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years’ teaching experience in a school setting (please note that, while valuable, tutoring experience cannot be counted towards this requirement).
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Education, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of computer science concepts and programming.
- Exceptional communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, and the company's team.
- Familiarity with online teaching platforms and a passion for innovative, technology-enabled education.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience teaching Computer Science at secondary/high school level.
- Experience teaching an international curriculum.
- Strong programming knowledge and experience teaching languages such as Python, Java, or similar.
- A recognized teaching qualification, such as a postgraduate certificate in education, teaching degree, or teaching license.
- Previous online teaching experience.
