Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and maintain Red Hat OpenShift environments, ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance.
- Manage the installation, configuration, and upgrading of OpenShift clusters and related components.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in OpenShift clusters and workloads.
- Implement security best practices, including managing role-based access control (RBAC), network policies, and OpenShift security features.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes using tools like Ansible, Terraform, or similar.
- Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines and application deployment.
- Optimize resource usage and capacity planning within the OpenShift environment.
- Perform regular backups, disaster recovery testing, and cluster upgrades.
- Document processes, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures for OpenShift environments.
- Stay current with Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes updates, patches, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience with Red Hat OpenShift or Kubernetes administration.
- Proficient in Linux system administration and networking concepts.
- Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or similar.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
- Understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Podman) and microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or similar.
- Experience with scripting languages (Bash, Python) for automation and administration tasks.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration, Certified Kubernetes Administrator) are a plus.
