Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • OpenShift Environment Setup and Configuration: Set up and configure OpenShift environments on-premises using hypervisor technologies. Ensure optimal performance and scalability of OpenShift clusters.

  • Disaster Recovery Solutions: Design and implement disaster recovery solutions for OpenShift environments. Ensure high availability and data integrity in all deployments.

  • Automation and Management: Utilize Ansible automation extensively to streamline deployment, configuration, and management tasks related to OpenShift infrastructure. Implement and maintain automated workflows to enhance operational efficiency.

  • CICD Pipeline Implementation: Implement Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CICD) pipelines using OpenShift native tools. Enable automated software delivery and deployment processes.

  • Collaboration and Best Practices: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create roadmaps and establish best practices for OpenShift environment management and utilization. Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, ensuring adherence to best practices and industry standards.

  • Staying Updated with Trends: Stay updated with the latest trends and developments in OpenShift technology. Incorporate new advancements into existing infrastructure setups.

  • Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to OpenShift environments promptly. Ensure minimal downtime and maximum efficiency in all operations.

  • Documentation: Document processes, procedures, and configurations related to OpenShift infrastructure. Ensure comprehensive knowledge sharing and future reference materials are maintained.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Extensive experience with OpenShift and Kubernetes environments.

  • Strong proficiency in hypervisor technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).

  • Expertise in Ansible automation for infrastructure management.

  • Proven experience in designing and implementing disaster recovery solutions.

  • Solid understanding of CICD pipelines and OpenShift native tools (e.g., Jenkins, Tekton).

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

  • Demonstrated ability to stay current with industry trends and incorporate new technologies.

  • Experience in mentoring and guiding team members.

  • Strong documentation skills to maintain clear and comprehensive records.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications in OpenShift, Kubernetes, or related technologies.

  • Experience in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.

  • Previous experience in a leadership or architect role.
