Key Responsibilities

  • Address escalated incidents and service requests.
  • Guide Level 1 engineers in troubleshooting.
  • Monitor external threat data sources and recommend preventative countermeasures.
  • Maintain clear documentation of complex incidents and perform in-depth analysis of cyber threats.
  • Assist in creating playbooks and updating the knowledge base repository.

Core Skills Required

  • Configuration and Deployment: Proficiency in setting up and deploying WAFs and Network Firewalls.
  • Policy Management: Creating and managing security policies to protect against threats.
  • Rule Configuration and Monitoring: Configuring and monitoring firewall rules for web application and network traffic.
  • Incident Response and Collaboration: Understanding incident response protocols and collaborating with teams to address security events.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining documentation and generating reports for future reference.

Qualifications & Experience

  • A degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 3+ years' experience in a cross-functional team.
  • GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) or equivalent certification.
  • Knowledge of threat detection, infrastructure protection, identity access management, and enterprise IT cybersecurity operational environment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to triage and escalate effectively.
