Risk & Compliance (R&C) provides second line oversight, reviewing and challenging businesses to promote effective risk management. Risk, International Wealth and Premier Banking (IWPB) oversees financial and non-financial risks across Retail Credit, Wealth, Global Private Banking, Asset Management, and Insurance in multiple markets.
In this senior role, you will report to the Head of Performance and Delivery - IWPB, where you’ll strengthen governance disciplines, maintain high standards of execution, and create clear operational cadence across the function. Success means well-run leadership forums, timely coordination of quarterly risk review processes, and reliable follow-through on actions from market visits and assurance activity. You’ll bring structure and clarity across diverse stakeholders, supporting day-to-day operational management and enabling strategic objectives across IWPB Risk.
What You'll Be Doing
- Oversee preparation and management for external management meetings, leadership team connect, and bi-weekly meetings.
- Coordinate the quarterly risk review discipline process across IWPB key entities.
- Track action items from market visits, risk reviews, and leadership forums, and ensure timely closure.
- Coordinate read-across of audits and assurance reports with relevant risk stewards.
- Monitor high issues and emerging trends across IWPB Risk taxonomies, spanning financial and non-financial risks.
- Support the IWPB Chief Risk and Compliance Officer (CRCO) with day-to-day operational management activities.
- Maintain consistent standards and discipline across ways of working, removing blockers and strengthening standardisation.
- Collaborate across teams and stakeholders to align priorities, identify themes, and maintain one version of truth.
What We're Looking For
- Extensive experience in governance and coordination within a large organization, including executive reporting and forum management.
- Demonstrable understanding of risk management, including operational risk management techniques.
- Demonstratable experience coordinating assurance activity, including audits and assurance reporting read-across.
- Proven capability running structured governance processes across multiple entities or stakeholder groups.
- Ability to operate effectively across Global, Regional, and Line of Business operating models and partner with diverse stakeholders.
- Expertise in navigating ambiguity, shifting priorities, and organizational complexity across a broad agenda.
- Strong communication skills to influence outcomes across senior forums and working groups.
- Relevant professional expertise in business management, governance, or programme management, or equivalent demonstrable experience.
