AWS is rapidly growing, and we are looking for an Operational Security Specialist Intern to join our expanding Data Centre team in Dubai. As a Data Centre Operational Security Specialist Intern, you will be responsible for driving operational security excellence within our Data Centres. Your tasks will include writing reports, creating presentations, and communicating with management regarding the status of physical security operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Interface and direct vendors involved in new security construction, repairs, daily security operations, and patrols.
• Extract metrics and observe improvements using hard data.
• Suggest improvements for electronic surveillance and access controls.
• Educate data center occupants on reducing false alarms.

Basic Qualifications

• In pursuit of a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology/Criminal Justice or another relevant field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of access control and video surveillance software applications (e.g., LENEL or C-cure).
• Interest in investigating accidents, thefts, disturbances, and discrepancies.
• Desire to work in a facility observing security gaps in physical barriers, security officer procedures, policies, surveillance equipment, and alarm points.
• Ability to write detailed reports.

Additional Information
Amazon internships are full-time and require the intern to report to work onsite daily. Intern schedules typically follow a Monday-Friday day schedule, but a full-time position may involve evening, weekend shifts, and on-call rotations.
