Responsibilities

  • Organize training for staff within the organization.
  • Analyze training needs in conjunction with the heads of departments.
  • Develop individual training programs that meet skills gaps identified through training needs assessments.
  • Plan, direct, and deliver training and development programs, including staff inductions, to accomplish the organization's goals.
  • Update individual training records.
  • Create training materials.
  • Maintain QA/QC records as necessary for tracking all inspection activities.
  • Perform inspection activities related to incoming materials, including copper, breakers, in-process inspections, final inspections, pre-dispatch, and dispatch inspections.
  • Ensure the conduct of verification activities pertaining to the 1st off inspection and in-process checks on all processes.
  • Perform hourly checks on defined critical processes to ensure quality consistency.
  • Conduct full-time inspection focusing on the assigned area covering 100% quality checks as per established inspection checkpoints.
  • Support in-process checks during work in progress activity carried out by production members.
  • Document inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizing re-work and waste, and inputting data into the quality database.
  • Identify issues related to quality, health, and safety, and environmental noncompliance, making necessary reports.
  • Keep measurement equipment operational by following operating instructions, performing timely calibration, and calling for repairs.
  • Maintain the organization's interest in production schedules and fabrication quality.
  • Advise managers and supervisors on the application of industry standards, emphasizing expedited completion of fabrication and maintenance of fabrication plans.
  • Maintain QA/QC records necessary for tracking all inspection activities and material traceability.
  • Attend QA/QC meetings and prepare meeting notes as needed.
  • Assure site quality systems (internal audits, preventive and corrective actions, quality procedures, process control, product specification review, process capability review) are in place.
  • Assist in preparing quality training modules, risk assessments, and standard operating procedures for all health and safety & environmental activities.
  • Mentor and exemplify standards for lower-grade production operators, utilizing your skills and knowledge to promote quality, health & safety, and environmental management systems.
  • Ensure routine tasks are completed daily and best practices for quality, health & safety, and environmental standards are followed.
  • Adhere to the organization’s equal opportunity, cultural diversity, fair treatment, and harassment & discrimination prevention policies.
  • Ensure 100% PPE compliance when on the shop floor.
  • Honestly report any illnesses or issues during induction.
  • Avoid wearing jewelry or loose clothing while inside the shop floor.
  • Cooperate with compliance measures for occupational health and safety requirements.
  • Take reasonable care for their own health and safety, as well as that of others who may be affected by their actions or omissions.
  • Familiarize yourself with emergency equipment such as Fire Alarm Call Points and Fire Extinguishers, and have full knowledge of the Emergency Assembly Procedure.
  • Coordinate with production supervisors or Safety Officers for any observed health and safety issues that require addressing.
