About the Job
The Cloud Solution Engineer (ACE) role at Oracle focuses on aligning with customers throughout their lifecycle, from project conception to usage and expansion. This position requires close collaboration with Cloud Sales Representatives to define and drive sales strategies, identify new workloads, and conduct necessary technical due diligence to achieve a "Technical Win." The ACE plays a crucial role in maintaining an understanding of the customer’s infrastructure while providing expert advice on introducing new workloads (i.e., Move & Improve).
To ensure that the technology enhances customer outcomes and supports sustainable growth, the ACE orchestrates the required technical teams and builds consumption plans together with the customer. They will also work closely with the Cloud Adoption Manager to monitor customer adoption health and enhance the overall customer experience.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead all technical activities in accounts, being primarily responsible for presales activities.
- Collaborate with the Oracle account team to define account strategies and actively drive consumption growth.
- Ensure a positive experience for customers in their territory by understanding their IT and business priorities and developing appropriate solutions.
- Engage with customers to design and implement solutions collaboratively.
- Gather customer requirements, develop architectures, and translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Implement solutions and ensure successful deployments via code development and scripting.
- Demonstrate product and application knowledge through tailored presentations to customers during events and conferences.
- Provide support from Proof of Concept (POC) to production deployment, encompassing resource configuration, planning, and customer education/training.
- Create and share technical documentation, including white papers, solution code, blog posts, and video demonstrations.
- Serve as a technical contact for customers and sales regarding technical cloud solutions and customer success.
Qualifications
Minimum requirements include at least 5 years of experience with computer applications and tools, along with a willingness to travel up to 25% internationally and domestically.
Preferred qualifications comprise:
- A Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or a closely related field from an accredited university or 5 years of relevant technical experience.
- Proficiency in system and application design.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in needs analysis, positioning, and business justification.
- Ability to effectively solve technical problems alongside customers.
