BlackStone eIT is seeking an experienced Oracle DBA Consultant to provide expert guidance and support for our Oracle database environments. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing best practices in database management, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability of our Oracle databases. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance database operations and contribute to strategic initiatives.

Location: Dubai, Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Work Conditions: On-site, Full-time

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain Oracle databases, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Monitor database performance metrics and perform tuning and optimization when necessary.
  • Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies using RMAN and other tools.
  • Conduct database audits and implement security measures to safeguard data.
  • Collaborate with application teams to design and support database-related projects.
  • Provide expert troubleshooting support for complex database issues, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Document database configurations, procedures, and best practices.
  • Stay updated on the latest Oracle technologies and innovations, recommending enhancements to current systems.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Oracle DBA, with a strong focus on database performance tuning and management.
  • Technical Skills:
    • In-depth knowledge of Oracle database architecture, installation, configuration, and administration.
    • Expertise in RMAN for backup and recovery solutions.
    • Strong skills in SQL and PL/SQL programming.
    • Experience with Oracle performance tuning tools and techniques.
    • Familiarity with Oracle cloud services and migration strategies is a plus.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex issues.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration.
    • Ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple priorities.
    • Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining data integrity and security.
