Key Responsibilities
- Maintain OT network infrastructure to support reliable operational connectivity.
- Configure and troubleshoot network switches, routers, and firewalls.
- Diagnose and resolve connectivity failures, network latency, and communication protocol issues.
- Maintain network device configurations, VLAN assignments, and firewall access rules.
- Support secure OT network segmentation, demilitarized zones (DMZs), and remote access connectivity.
- Analyze network logs and packet captures to identify root causes of incidents.
- Monitor network performance and assist with preventive maintenance.
- Document network configurations, troubleshooting activities, and maintenance changes.
Required Skills
- Maintain reliable operational technology network connectivity.
- Configure and troubleshoot switches, routers, interfaces, and routing.
- Maintain access-control policies and troubleshoot traffic filtering.
- Manage VLANs, network boundaries, and secure segmentation.
- Investigate latency, packet loss, and protocol-related failures.
Preferred Skills
- CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent networking certification.
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols and OT network environments.
- Experience with Wireshark, packet capture analysis, and network monitoring tools.
Work Experience Requirements
While there is no specified minimum years of experience, a typical benchmark of 3–7 years in network operations, industrial networking, or infrastructure support may be considered for sourcing, subject to client confirmation. Experience supporting operational technology networks, firewall policies, and industrial connectivity is relevant.
Education
- Minimum (typical): Diploma or bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Telecommunications, or related engineering field.
- Preferred: B.E./B.Tech in IT, ECE, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Additional Certifications: CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent — preferred.
