Overhaul Technician

The role involves performing major and minor assembly, disassembly, cleaning, inspection, testing, and disposition of various types of components and accessories as required to overhaul slides and life rafts. Duties also include the overhaul of pressurized cylinders and regulators, and folding and packing evacuation slides into compartments. Candidates are expected to follow quality procedures and technical documentation accurately, maintain high levels of quality, and comply with all rules and regulations of the company.

Requirements

• Minimum experience: 3+ years of relevant experience is required.
• Ability to utilize computer systems (SAP, MS Office, etc.) to input and retrieve information.
• Must be available for overtime, including extended workdays and weekends.
• Ability to interpret schematics and/or technical drawings.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Working Conditions

• 100% of time spent on the production floor with occasional loud noise, requiring safety glasses.
• Constant daily exposure to adhesive and solvent vapors.
• Minimal exposure to machinery with moving parts.
• Ability to use and manipulate clamps, brushes (with gloves on), pushers, scissors, seam tape, and talc.
