Passive Technical Support Resident Engineer

You will serve as a seasoned subject matter expert, responsible for providing IT technical support to ensure the operational integrity of our IT infrastructure and systems.

As a Passive Technical Support Resident Engineer, you will have the following responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair passive network components, including cabling, connectors, and related infrastructure.
• Install, maintain, and repair cable systems, including fiber optic and coaxial cables.
• Conduct site surveys to assess and document existing passive network setups.
• Perform routine inspections and testing of passive network systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to passive network components.
• Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to support overall network infrastructure.
• Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance, and repairs.
• Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards during all work activities.
• Provide technical support and guidance to clients and team members as needed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in networking or a related field is preferred.
• Proven experience in installing and maintaining passive network components.
• Strong understanding of network cabling standards and best practices.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical ability to perform tasks that may require climbing, lifting, and working in confined spaces.
