Payments Specialist

Our last-mile delivery partners are crucial to our service, and we work closely with them to ensure deliveries, large and small, reach their destinations. As a Payments Specialist, you’ll ensure that we process and pay our partners accurately and on time. You'll build connections with local stakeholders (finance, OTR, Tax, BC teams) and help implement processes for the timely and precise delivery of information required for payment processing.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and drive payment processes to Delivery Service Providers (DSPs).
• Develop relationships with stakeholders and define mechanisms for accurate and timely payment processing.
• Track payment accuracy and timeliness to secure business sustainability.

A Day in the Life
You’ll be based in the corporate office, which allows you to stay connected with every aspect of payments and provides access to key teams that will facilitate payment inputs and approvals. This role primarily focuses on processing payments and ensuring DSPs are compensated accurately and promptly.

Amazon Logistics (AMZL) handles ‘last mile’ delivery duties in partnership with third-party distribution businesses. We utilize creative thinking and continuous improvement initiatives to deliver millions of physical products to our customers. Our goal is to enhance our customers’ delivery experience and implement global delivery solutions for our latest concepts.

Basic Qualifications

• Advanced SQL skills are mandatory
• Experience in accounting and/or finance is a plus
• Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations
• Experience driving roadmap strategy and implementation across stakeholders
• Experience collaborating with functional teams and senior stakeholders
• Effective email writing and communication skills
• Intermediate Excel and data analysis skills

• Strong writing and influence skills
• Ability to structure arguments to be clear, concise, and to the point
