Key Accountabilities of the Role
Responsibilities:
1. Account Documentation:
- Handle inquiries related to staff accounts.
- Open and close staff accounts, ensuring proper completion of forms, adherence to KYC policies, and compliance with Central Bank instructions.
2. Finance Account Documentation:
- Address inquiries related to finance and covered cards, maintain customer files, prepare finance applications, obtain necessary approvals, input data into the system, and ensure forms are completed accurately.
3. Staff Management and Coordination:
- Manage subordinates, including planning training and appraisal activities.
4. Payroll Processing:
- Enter payroll transactions.
- Calculate and enter overtime transactions.
- Prepare various payment memos/invoices.
- Prepare advance leave salary and update advance reports.
- Assist in the preparation of Journal Vouchers (JVs)/General Ledgers (GLs) reports/entries.
Results Required:
- Continuous Improvement: Assist the Customer Relationship Manager (CRM) in recommending workflow changes leading to process improvements to the branch manager at least once a year.
- Internal Audit & ICD Comments: Provide support in preparing detailed responses to internal audit and ICD comments relating to financial products and financial staff services.
- Compliance of Policies & Procedures: Ensure compliance and perform key operational controls as required by the organization's policies and procedures in day-to-day operations.
Specialist Skills / Technical Knowledge Required for This Role:
- Broad knowledge of the organization's retail banking financial products and services.
- Thorough knowledge of retail credit and operational policies and procedures.
- Good understanding of UAE banking practices, regulations, and risks.
- Thorough knowledge of all regulations issued by the Central Bank of the UAE.
- General awareness of competitors in the local market.
- Adequate knowledge of service standards.
- Training, sales, and management information skills.
- Proficient computer skills.
