About the Role
We are looking for a Software Engineer with 3–5 years of professional experience in PHP and Angular to join our technology team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in PHP/Laravel and Angular, with a good understanding of building scalable web applications, REST APIs, database-driven applications, and modern software development practices. You will work closely with product, technology, and business teams to design, develop, enhance, and maintain web-based applications and integrations.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain web applications using PHP/Laravel and Angular.
- Develop and integrate RESTful APIs for internal and external applications.
- Build responsive and user-friendly front-end applications using Angular, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Develop robust backend services and business logic using PHP and Laravel.
- Design, optimize, and work with SQL databases.
- Integrate third-party APIs and services as required.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues across frontend and backend components.
- Write clean, maintainable, reusable, and well-documented code.
- Participate in code reviews and follow established development standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with other developers, QA, product, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
- Contribute to application performance, security, scalability, and reliability improvements.
- Support deployment, maintenance, and production issue resolution when required.
- Stay updated with relevant technologies, frameworks, and development practices.
Required Skills & Experience
- 3–5 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with PHP.
- Good practical experience with Laravel or a similar PHP framework.
- Strong experience with Angular.
- Good knowledge of JavaScript / TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience developing and consuming REST APIs.
- Strong understanding of SQL and relational databases.
- Good understanding of object-oriented programming and software development principles.
- Experience with Git/version control.
- Good debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a development team.
Good to Have
- Experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Experience with API authentication mechanisms such as OAuth or JWT.
- Knowledge of application security and secure coding practices.
- Experience with Docker or cloud environments.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Exposure to automated testing and unit/integration testing.
