About the Role
As a Pipeline/Welding & NDT Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring quality assurance and quality control in pipeline and welding activities. Reporting to the Team Leader, you will establish key working relationships with the IND Manager, Project Manager, Technical Manager, clients, and other stakeholders. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining compliance with international codes and standards, effectively handling inspections, documentation, and project specifications to guarantee the integrity of pipeline and welding operations.

Responsibilities
- Understand and implement Vendor/Manufacturer Quality System requirements.
- Review and verify Manufacturer/Vendor documents as per Purchase Orders and Material Specifications according to relevant codes and project specifications.
- Conduct Material Receiving Inspections for all permanent Project Material by the EPC Contractor.
- Witness, verify, and endorse Procedure and Welder qualifications.
- Review and approve Inspection & Test Plans and material certificates.
- Monitor, inspect, and approve all welding, welding procedures, and NDT works.
- Oversee and approve all PWHT works.
- Review radiographs/NDT reports and sign weld/NDT logs.
- Witness Hydrostatic & Pneumatic testing and conduct inspections for surface preparation, painting, and insulation.
- Maintain knowledge of Material control, preservation, and storage procedures.
- Raise Non-conformance reports and verify corrective actions on all project materials during inspections.
- Prepare concise weekly and monthly inspection reports.
Minimum Required Qualifications
- Certifications:
- CSWIP 3.1 or AWS CWI or equivalent certification with a minimum of 5 years’ experience post-certification.
- ASNT Level 2 in RT, MT, PT, and UT with at least 3 years of practical experience. For RT, inspectors must have film interpretation certificates from an independent body (CSWIP or AWS).
- Education:
- 3-year Diploma or 4-year Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Training:
- Site Safety Induction
- H2S Training
- HSE Induction for Specific Projects
- Experience:
- More than 12 years of industrial QA/QC experience in Pipeline/Welding & NDT for Diploma holders; more than 10 years for Bachelor degree holders.
- Minimum 8 years of Oil & Gas experience for Diploma holders; minimum 6 years for Bachelor degree holders.
Technical Knowledge
- Strong understanding of International Codes & Standards such as ASME, API, ANSI, ASTM, and BS.
- Experience with welding & pipeline Inspection relevant to codes and standards.
- Ability to apply codes, standards, project specifications, and procedures effectively.
Self Management
- Maintain a high degree of expertise through ongoing specialized training and knowledge management.
- Ensure inspections are conducted following approved drawings and Inspection Test Plans.
- Meet project development objectives while being results-oriented, service-driven, and problem-solving.
- Comply with company regulations, procedures, and codes of ethics.
Business Requirements
- Report day-to-day inspection activities, non-compliance, and discrepancies to the Team Leader.
