The Platform Administrator is responsible for the administration, configuration, monitoring, and ongoing maintenance of the company's trading platform infrastructure, including MetaTrader 4 (MT4), MetaTrader 5 (MT5), and related trading technologies. This role ensures platform stability, performance, security, and availability while supporting business operations through technical expertise, infrastructure optimization, and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure, administer, and maintain MT4 and MT5 trading platforms and associated infrastructure.
- Monitor platform health, performance, and resource utilization to ensure optimal system stability and availability.
- Ensure uninterrupted client access to MT4/MT5 services and promptly resolve platform-related issues.
- Maintain security and integrity of trading servers and MetaTrader platform components.
- Analyze platform performance, troubleshoot technical issues, and implement or coordinate infrastructure changes.
- Integrate, test, deploy, and support native tools, third-party solutions, and internally developed software/plugins.
- Manage user access and permissions across all trading platforms.
- Design and maintain failover strategies, disaster recovery procedures, and automated backup solutions.
- Generate operational and performance reports to support decision-making.
- Provide technical assistance to internal departments and ensure timely resolution of support requests.
- Conduct trade surveillance to identify and prevent market abuse and brokerage abuse.
- Collaborate with various internal technology teams and contribute to a high-performing team environment.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Proven experience administering MetaTrader 4 (MT4) and MetaTrader 5 (MT5) trading platforms.
- Strong understanding of MT4 and MT5 architecture, components, and server configurations.
- Experience managing MT4/MT5 environments, including Data Center, Main, and Failover configurations.
- Good knowledge of SQL and database concepts.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server operating systems and PowerShell.
- Experience with infrastructure monitoring tools such as Corner Bowl and Zabbix.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional technical teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced financial services environment.
Preferred Profile:
- Experience within the financial services, online trading, or fintech industry.
- Familiarity with FIX connectivity and trading infrastructure.
- Knowledge of information security principles and best practices for trading platforms.
- Strong attention to detail and proactive monitoring approach.
