Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies aligned with business objectives for platform engineering.
- Create frameworks for scalable platform delivery while adhering to best practices.
- Enhance and maintain platform capabilities to support cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate within agile teams to break down platform requirements into actionable tasks.
- Work with architects and technical leadership to evaluate and adopt emerging tools and technologies.
- Lead a team of platform engineers, providing technical guidance and mentorship.
- Conduct peer reviews and give constructive feedback to ensure code quality and alignment with standards.
- Take ownership of the technical aspects of the platform, ensuring quality, scalability, and reliability.
- Recommend and implement technical improvements, including design, optimization, and new methodologies.
- Ensure cost optimization for Azure resources while maintaining performance and budget alignment.
- Regularly update and maintain platform documentation in accordance with best practices.
Required Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure PaaS services (Event Hub, Azure Functions, ADF, Databricks, Synapse, Cosmos DB, Azure Storage ADLS Gen2).
- Proven experience with cloud and Big Data platforms such as Azure and Cloudera.
- Proficiency in CI/CD principles, DevOps, infrastructure-as-code (IaaC), and modern development practices (e.g., GitOps, Docker, Kubernetes).
- Expertise in implementing large-scale data platforms both on-premises and in the cloud.
- Deep understanding of Azure networking, cybersecurity, and inter-service security.
- Experience with tools such as Dataiku, PowerBi, and Tableau is a plus.
